Frequently Asked Questions

What features does ReadingFluency include?

ReadingFluency includes 60-second AI reading assessment (WCPM scoring), Skills Lab practice (trouble words, spelling, sentence challenges, AI passages), progress monitoring charts, and printable reports. The platform covers the full reading fluency workflow: assess students with AI-scored WCPM, identify weak areas, practice with targeted activities in Skills Lab, and track growth over time with benchmark comparisons.

What is Skills Lab?

Skills Lab is ReadingFluency's practice module with four targeted activities: Trouble Words (words the student missed), Spelling practice, Sentence Challenges, and AI-generated reading passages. After each assessment, words the student struggled with are automatically added to their Trouble Words list. Skills Lab provides daily practice on these specific weak spots, making practice personalized and efficient.

Can I track student reading progress over time?

Yes--ReadingFluency provides WCPM growth charts comparing each student's scores to Hasbrouck & Tindal grade-level benchmarks across fall, winter, and spring. The dashboard shows trend lines, highlights students below benchmark, and generates printable reports suitable for RTI/MTSS documentation, parent conferences, and homeschool portfolios.
